Spain’s animation studio Black Maria is shopping Yenny, a new teen-targeting series about a beautiful 22-year-old aspiring model who has one minor flaw’she has huge feet. The 26 x 11 High-Def toon follows Yenny’s adventures in the seaside Puerto Rican town of Villa Los Kubos, where she lives with her jet-setting mom Yunissa, her iguana Zacha and sea turtle Bukestalifaro!
Created by David Alvarez, Yenny was initially introduced as a comic-book property eight years ago. Eventually, Universal Press Syndicate picked up the comic strips for digital distribution (www.gocomics.com). An eight-issue comicbook series was also printed and published by Alias Enterprises for the U.S. market. The new animated series will be overseen by Alvarez and producer/director Fernando Carrion.
