Vancouver-based animation studio Atomic Cartoons (Atomic Betty) will launch its new show, Pirate Express, which is currently at the development stage with Teletoon, Canada, to the MIPCOM market in Cannes next week.

Targeting 7- to 11-year-old viewers, the show is created by Paris-based studio Ellipseanime, which approached Atomic Cartoons to structure it as a France-Canada co-production.

“Since entering into commissioned development, we’ve prepared fresh new content, including main title animation, for MIPCOM with the vision of securing pre-sales to support Teletoon’s commitment to this quirky and colorful property.” says Rob Davies, Atomic’s VP of development.
