The Anime Network is taking its "Demand Your Anime" campaign to the 1st Annual Las Vegas Comic-Con, being held Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The net hopes to get the show’s many anime fans to participate in its direct mail crusade targeting cable carriers across the country. Participants are also entered in a sweepstakes to win a 2004 Honda Civic Si.
The sweepstakes began on July 3 and runs through Dec. 4. Convention goers will be able to pick up entry forms and view the grand prize at the ADV Films/Anime Network booth. Entrants can also register online at the network’s web site, www.theanimenetwork.com
The Anime Network, a subsidiary of A. D. Vision Inc. (parent company to ADV Films and Newtype USA) is the first cable channel in North America dedicated exclusively to Japanese-style animation. The cabler launched in late 2002 and is being marketed to multi-system operators from coast-to-coast as both a stand-alone 24-hour digital network and as a Video On Demand programming offer.
