Animation Artists Pegged for Daytime Emmys

Gary Baseman, production designer for the ABC series Disney’s Teacher’s Pet and Peter Sluszka, animator on the HBO kids show I Spy will receive Emmy awards for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation tomorrow.

The awards will be presented during a black-tie ceremony recognizing the Creative Arts categories of the 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, to be held at the Marriot Marquis Hotel in New York City and the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Los Angeles.

The Otstanding Individual Acheivement in Animation Emmy Award is a juried award given to an individual for a single episode of a series or special. Eligible candidates include animators, background artists, color directors, layout artists, production designers and storyboard artists.

The 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards is a presentation of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in cooperation with the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. For a full list of nominees, visit in the National awards area.
