AAC KIDS, Alliance Atlantis’ children’s label, has begun principal photography on the second season of the stop-motion animated series, Henry’s World. Produced in association with The Family Channel Inc. and with the participation of the Canadian Television Fund, the show is seen on more than 50 countries worldwide and Alliance Atlantis hopes to extend its reach with a showing at MIP-TV.
Created by Michael McGowan, Henry’s World revolves around Henry Wiggins, an eight-year-old boy who gains amazing powers whenever he eats his mother’s mushy carrots. These supernatural abilities mix with Henry’s natural eight-year-old curiosity to create a potent recipe for adventure. Ken Faier serves as exec. producer with AAC KIDS’ Alan Gregg taking on producer duties. The line producer is Marlene Schmidt.
Henry’s World is produced with the financial participation of the Shaw Children’s Programming Initiative through the Shaw Television Broadcast Fund, and with the participation of Astral Media, the Harold Greenberg Fund. The series airs in Canada on The Family Channel, in France on La Cinquieme and Disney Channel France, in the U.K. on Discovery Kids, in Australia on ABC and in Latin America on Discovery Kids. AAC KIDS handles worldwide distribution for all 26 Henry’s World episodes. Thirteen new episodes are now in production.
