India-based Toonz Studios — the flagship division of Toonz Media Group — has signed on to a strategic partnership with NY transmedia and entertainment company Herotainment LLC to expand its popular collectible brand Smighties into a digital series.
Based on the lovable and unique collectible characters seen in Herotainment’s award-winning casual games, Smighties the series follows the cute little creatures on amazing adventures to uphold values and virtues in their whimsical worlds. The stories will celebrate friendship, fun and individuality.
Smighties (39 x 7) is aimed at kids ages 4-7 and will launch in Summer 2017 on Toonz’s global YouTube channel, Chotoonz, which receives over 100 million monthly views. There are further plans to bring Smighties to linear TV as well as worldwide licensing & merchandising.
