International toy company ORB has teamed up with Nelvana Enterprises to create a series of 10 animated shorts inspired by its top-selling brand Soft’n Slo Squishies, which will debut with three installments on Friday, March 30 at 9 a.m. ET on the Treehouse Direct YouTube channel. The digital-first toon will later expand to other kids’ YouTube channels, with new episodes arriving weekly.
“We are very excited to share this digital series and showcase Soft’n Slo Squishies in an entirely new way,” said Mitra Rad, Brand Manager at ORB. “From licensing to broader line extensions, this is just one of the many ways that we will be expanding the Soft’n Slo Squishies brand over the next year.”
Fans of the brand can look forward to humorous adventures in the form of episodes with titles like “Work It Squishies,” “Squishies Dares” and “Runway Cutie.” The toys are super-soft, extremely squishable and slow-rising collectibles shaped as colorful and cute animals, monsters, foods, etc.
There are 400 different Soft’n Slo Squishies currently on the market, and over 600 new designs planned for this year. The brand also boasts nearly 30,000 Instagram followers and millions of YouTube views.
