Viewpoint Media Player Has
Mac Version
Viewpoint studios has announced the
release of the Macintosh version of the Viewpoint Media Player (VMP),
and its available immediately. Being new to the Mac community, the
VMP is the only browser plugin, allowing two-way scripting on the
Mac in Internet Explorer and Netscape.
Similar to the Windows version, this
version is "windowless" in both Explorer and Netscape as well, and
is the only browser plugin that works with hiding and showing layers
on the Mac.
VMP will offer content creators and
Mac users the same experience, regardless of browser, by making
VMP completely functional between the Mac and Windows platform.
With VMP you can transform traditional
images, and text-based delivery mechanisms to dynamic, interactive
and visually compelling user experiences.
The Viewpoint Media Player for Macintosh
is designed for Mac OS 8.5 through Mac OS 9X and runs in the "classic
Mode" browser for Mac OS X.
"It was important to us to provide
the same unique experience for Mac users that Window users have
always enjoyed," says Ales Holecek, Sr. VP of engineering for Viewpoint.
