MindAvenue’s AXELedge V2

MindAvenue’s AXELedge V2 is an interactive web authoring software designed for 3D modeling. After going through a few tutorials, I was able to create some interactive objects without using a single line of code. But don’t let its simplicity fool you: This is a very powerful tool which zeroes in on user interactivity and ease of use for web and DVD production.

The Good News: This handy software allows you to make simple 3D objects or import complicated ones (3ds max, Lightwave, Maya); have cameras, objects and lights follow paths or each other; and bring in video (mov, avi, mpg) or audio (midi, wav, mp3).

The Wish List: Importing IK, animation or particles isn’t possible yet.

The Bottom Line: Because you can create primitives, revolutions and extrusions, edit points and add bones and skins with AXELedge V2, you can animate virtually anything you can think.
