Will Vinton Goes to Camp for Oregon3D

Clay animation maestro Will Vinton will be a guest speaker at a two-week film camp hosted by Oregon3D Inc., The Center for Visualization Technologies. The former founder and director of Will Vinton Studios will join the camp as part of the lecture series, providing students with insight from past projects such as the famous California Raisins commercials and the Fox series The PJ’s.

Scheduled for August 17 – August 29, 2003 at Oregon3D, the Oregon3D Film Camp is a film school-style program. Under the guidance of award-winning director Mike Wellins (The PJs) and Oregon3D discreet-certified flame compositor Phil Guzzo (both previously from Will Vinton Studios), Oregon3D Film Camp students will work step-by-step through the entire film production process and come away with a well-rounded experience of modern filmmaking and an actual film for their reel.

The camp also features lunchtime lectures with industry professionals and tours of some professional studios and facilities in Portland. The final day of camp will include a special screening at the Oregon3D Theatre.

The Oregon3D Film Camp will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Oregon3D’s training facility located at 735 SW 20th Place, Suite 230, Portland, Oregon. The cost is $1,500 and includes some lunches. For additional information and class registration, visit the Oregon3D web site at www.oregon3d.com/filmcamp.html or call toll free (866) 626-9100.
