The School of Cinema-Television at the University of Southern California (USC) is now introducing SOFTIMAGE|XSI software in two of its Master of Fine Arts programs. As part of Softimages academic outreach efforts, the company recently placed licenses of its nonlinear 3D production environment in the school to help train graduate students pursuing advanced animation degrees.
The Master of Fine Arts in Interactive Media, a new intensive three-year program designed to prepare students for creative careers in the field of interactive entertainment, focuses on the areas of game design, immersive narrative, mobile media and content for broadband applications. SOFTIMAGE|XSI will also be used in the Animation and Digital Arts M.F.A. program.
