Toon Boom, ITE Build Singapore Training Center
Animation software maker Toon Boom Animation Inc. has teamed with Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to create a Centre of Excellence that will provide animation training in Singapore. Both Toon Boom and ITE will promote the institution in South East Asia for those seeking professional certification. The partnership was announced during the 9th annual Canadian ICT Partnering Forum in Singapore.
With the support of the Media Development Authority and the Canadian High Commission, Toon Boom has increased its level of activity in Singapore, starting with the introduction of animation master class workshops earlier this year.
Toon Boom president and CEO Joan Vogelesang comments, ‘As we feel that Canada holds a leading position in the global animation industry and building on Toon Boom’s expertise in animation production, we hope to participate in Singapore’s vision to become a center of excellence for interactive digital media.”
