The Art Institute of Calif.-Los Angeles is teaming up with Big Blue Bus to celebrate the second annual Digital Earth Day with an art competition open to animated entrees. Current Art Institute students and local-area high school students may submit pieces of animation, video, still images and game storyboards that illustrate the theme “Build the world of your dreams” or “Big Blue Bus, Loving Mother Earth for 75 years.”
Digital and traditional pieces will be judged by a panel consisting of Amanda St. John, PR director for Panda Software; Kent Braun, president of DigiCel; Paul Norman (Discreet) and Dan Dawson, marketing director, The Big Blue Bus. Display and judging for both Art Institute students and high school students will take place on April 26 at 12:30 p.m. at The Art Institute of Calif.-Los Angeles at 2900 31st Street Santa Monica, CA 90405. Awards will follow a 1:15 p.m.

The event will also include a drawing marathon with the theme “DaVinci, The Four Keepers of Earth,” inspired by Leonardo Da Vincis private notes on the investigation of the four elements.
