The Art Institute of Calif., Los Angeles is hosting a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the artwork for the video game Medal of Honor: Allied Assault on Monday, Feb 24. Sponsored by Animation Magazine, the discussion will be presented by NXN Software CEO Gregor vom Scheidt and Electronic Arts technical art director Kyle McKisic.
Scheidt will be will be talking about their NxN’s AlienBrain technology, the asset management system being adopted by such industry leaders as Pixar and Electronic arts. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and give-aways.
As a preview to the Game Developer’s Conference in March, the Los Angeles IGDA Chapter will then follow with presentations from scheduled GDC speakers, including consultant and developer Tom Sloper (“Managing Developers Effectively”), Lawyer Jim Charne (“How to Get Paid on Time for Milestones” and “Giving Credit Where Credit is Due: Unraveling the Credits Mess”) and veteran programmer Jeff Lander (“Beyond Bouncing Boxes: The Physics of Things That Bend and Break”).
