Question for the Week of February 7 2011

How do you feel about How to Train Your Dragon’s huge sweep at the Annie Awards? What about SpongeBob SquarePants and Robot Chicken getting the TV honors again? Do you think the Disney/Pixar boycott hurt the show or didn’t make much of a difference ultimately?

How to train your dragon was an amazing movie! I feel it deserved every award it earned! Such stunning visuals, super charming storyline, Great emotions and It’s one of the few I can watch over and over again and never get sick of it!
    Good job dreamworks!

I thought Dreamworks deserved every one of those awards. However, Disney and PIXAR boycotting? The Annie’s are tainted and it really disturbs me. Childish.

We, I mean, they, they, Dreamworks Animation sKg (booyah) earned all their nominations and their awards. Tangled was just like the title suggested, Tangled. A mess. Ech. We were robbed by Duck in that we didn’t win the commercial category. Curse you Children’s Hospital!

I was glad to see ‘Dragon win.

It was a good original tale with great voice acting and it flowed very well.

Toy Story felt like it was just going through the motions for most of the movie. You knew who the bad guy was as soon as he walked in the door. No surprises.

The ending, just before Andy goes off to College, was true Pixar. The rest of the movie just didn’t keep me pulled in.

Finally, I do hope that ‘Dragon wins the Oscar, but I’m betting that Toy will be picked, because the voting member will think that’s what should be picked.
