Gopher Tour Guides Teach Children about American Culture, History and Geography with Webisodes, Interactive Games, Travel Blog and More
Today, PBS KIDS GO! and The Jim Henson Company officially launched the hilarious Web-exclusive property, WILSON & DITCH: DIGGING AMERICA (PBSKIDSGO.org/wilsonandditch). The new site invites early elementary school kids on a cross country adventure with two comical gophers as they explore America in their green-powered van, sharing experiences and real world resources to teach kids about American culture, history and geography. Funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), the animated Webisodes star Wilson and Ditch (performed by Brian Henson and Paul Rugg) and are brought to life using the Emmy® Award-winning Henson Digital Puppetry Studio, a proprietary technology that allows performers to puppeteer and voice digitally animated characters in real time. WILSON & DITCH features webisodes, interactive games, a travel blog, on-location audio podcasts, downloadable activities and original comics from the brothers' adventures.
