Autodesk Mudbox 2009 Named Game Developer Front Line Awards Finalist

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., January 13, 2010 - Autodesk 3ds Max 2010 modeling,
animation and rendering software has received the 2009 Front Line Award for
Best Art Tool from Game Developer magazine. Autodesk Mudbox 2009 digital
sculpting and texture painting software was a finalist in the same
category.

The annual Front Line awards recognize the best tools in the game industry,
as nominated and voted for by Game Developer's expert readership. Finalists
were selected based on utility, innovation, value and ease of use.

"Autodesk strives to provide game developers with tools that help them
solve both technical and creative challenges, so they can focus on
developing innovative game experiences," said Marc Stevens, Autodesk vice
president, Games. "We're honored that the games community has recognized
our efforts, awarding 3ds Max 2010 with the Best Art Tool award, and making
Mudbox 2009 a finalist in this category."

Autodesk 3ds Max software is a powerful, full-featured 3D modeling,

Autodesk for Games
Autodesk serves the games community with many leading products, which have
been used to create numerous hit titles: "The Beatles: Rock Band,"
"Assassin's Creed II," "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves," "Dragon Age: Origins"
and "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction." Autodesk's art creation tools
are Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya and Autodesk Softimage modeling
animation and rendering software; Autodesk Mudbox digital sculpting and
painting software; and Autodesk MotionBuilder real-time character animation
software. Autodesk's middleware solutions are Autodesk Kynapse artificial
intelligence middleware and Autodesk HumanIK animation middleware.
Autodesk FBX data interchange technology allows multiple 3D tools to be
used concurrently in a games pipeline. It connects Autodesk's art creation
tools  - 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, MotionBuilder and Mudbox - with other
in-house or commercial art tools, and helps to create a rich link between
art and engine tools. FBX also provides the connectivity needed to exchange
believable, interactive characters between Maya and MotionBuilder, as well
as game engines, using the HumanIK animation middleware technology.
