Gruppo Alcuni are very proud to announce that 22nd
January 2010 will see the
release in Italian cinemas of the feature-length 3D animated film "PET PALS -
MARCO POLO'S CODE". The
production has already been pre-sold in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech
Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania,
Moldova, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan,
Ukraine and Uzbekistan, where it will be released in cinemas as from January
2010.
"PET PALS - MARCO POLO'S CODE" stars the six Pet Pals, to date the protagonists
of four series which have been broadcast in over 40 countries worldwide. Our
intrepid heroes are once again up against the evil Crow Witch who is intent on
tarmacking the lagoon of Venice, thus turning it into a city like all the
others. Will the six Pet Pals be able to put a stop to her plan and to find
Marco Polo's Code first? Will they discover in time the legendary Parallel
Palace? The film's mix of magic, action, suspense and adventure are sure to
appeal to a wide audience and make for ideal family viewing.
The build-up to the release of this latest Gruppo
Alcuni production has generated numerous exciting new licensed products with the
PET PALS brand. These
include: a collection of umbrellas and raincoats for children, for the home a
set of cotton modular containers used for storing toys, shoes and clothes, a
range of plates, bowls, mugs and breakfast sets, a collection of cosmetic products
including shower gel, bubble bath, shampoo, liquid soap, soap and toothpaste
and a colourful series of sand buckets, spades, rakes, watering cans, Frisbees,
rackets and sand moulds. Of course, this is as well as the over 20 already
existing licenses which have been renewed for 2010.
Negotiations are also currently underway for a range
of dolls, toy pushchairs, cots, pop-up tents, soft toys for newborns, toy
make-up and kitchen accessories, sun tents and rockers, bicycles and inflatable
beach accessories.
Gruppo Alcuni is also currently busy with the
production of the new series SLASH://, 26 fun-filled episodes
about the adventures of a group of five teenagers who use the power of a magic
stone to travel through the Internet. The series deals with interesting
themes such as nature conservation, art, history and music and has already
created quite a buzz in the licensing domain. SLASH:// looks set to be the next big Italian
licensing success story!
