Digital Cinema Festival Moves to Historic Portage Theater
DePaul University's College of Computing and Digital Media will present the
fourth annual DePaul Digital Cinema Premiere IV Film Festival on Friday, June
5, at Chicago's historic Portage Theater, 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave. Featuring
the best in student filmmaking, the program is free to DePaul students,
faculty and staff ($10 for other filmgoers) and will screen narrative,
experimental, music-video and documentary pieces.
Being held for the first time at the 1,321-seat Portage Theater, the festival
will showcase nearly a dozen of DePaul's best student-produced films. To

explore the multiple formats of visual storytelling that are available to artists
in the digital age.

Computing and Digital Media (CDM). With 1,898 master's-level students and
1,260 undergraduate students currently enrolled, DePaul's CDM is one of the
largest of its kind in the nation and has evolved in the past two decades into
an interdisciplinary college with a broad range of innovative programs. In the
past three years, alone, more than $1.3 million has been invested into state-
