Munich/London, 27 March 2009 - TV-Loonland has secured a distribution deal for both original and classic content adapted from world famous brands MY LITTLE PONY, TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE. Within the deal TV-Loonland acquired worldwide (excluding USA and Canada) home entertainment rights for the brand new 44-minute MY LITTLE PONY Twinkle Wish Adventure Special, which is currently in production, as well as the original animated TRANSFORMERS "Generation 1" series (98x26') and the G.I. JOE "A Real American Hero" animated series (95x26') and feature animated film (94').
The MY LITTLE PONY TWINKLE WISH ADVENTURE special (1x44ยด), animated in traditional 2D, will feature the new look of the MY LITTLE PONY range, being adapted in animation and introduced to kids for the first time. Once a year, Twinkle Wish, the magical, musical wishing star grants every pony a very special wish. After accidentally turning the wishing star into a missing star, the ponies set out on adventure to bring back Twinkle Wish to Ponyville. After braving various challenges on their journey the ponies finally discover that friendship can make wishes come true.
Capturing the imagination of children and adults across the world for 25 years, the popular and well-loved original animated TRANSFORMERS Generation 1 series (98x26') will again be part of the TV-Loonland home entertainment programming slate. The legendary battle between the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS began 25 years ago. The ROBOTS IN DISGUISE, ordinary looking planes, cars and vehicles, suddenly change into mighty robots that wage war against one another. Two types of TRANSFORMERS factions emerge: the power-hungry, evil DECEPTICONS and the AUTOBOTS who, with help from human allies and leader OPTIMUS PRIME, must use courage and ingenuity to defeat the DECEPTICONS, led by MEGATRON.
TV-Loonland has further secured the video rights to the G.I. JOE - A REAL AMERICAN HERO original animated series (95x26') and G.I. JOE animated feature film (94'). G.I. JOE is the code name for a highly trained special mission force whose main purpose is to defend human freedom and world peace. Action, adventure and international intrigue abound as the G.I. JOE team works together to thwart the evil COBRA organizations bent on world domination.
