Weiss Upped to VP at Nick Jr.

Former Nick Jr. executive in charge of production Teri Weiss has been promoted to the post of VP, according to Daily Variety. In her new role, she will oversee the cabler’s programming, which includes the animated favorites Dora the Explorer, Bob the Builder and Blue’s Clues.

Weiss has been with Nickelodeon since 1999 and was involved in the launches of Bob and Dora. Previous credits include producer on Sesame Street and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Her career began at Comedy Central where she worked on the series Onion World, Night After Night and Sportsmonster.
