Hasbro continues to bulk up its TV expertise in advance of the launch of the new kid-targeted TV channel The Hub.
The latest to join up is Lisa Gersh, president/strategic initiavies at NBC, who has been elected to the toymaker’s board of directors.
Hasbro Chairman Al Verrecchia hailed Gersh for ‘her expertise in launching new TV channels and building partnerships.’
The Hub, a joint venture between Hasbro and Discovery Communications, is set to launch on Oct. 10.
Gersh’s career includes co-founding and serving as president and COO of Oxygen Media and playing a key role in NBC-Universal’s acquisition of The Weather Channel.
