Technicolor Announces Three New Exec Hires

Technicolor has added three key execs to its animation development and production team. Producer and SD Entertainment’s former head of production Robert Winthrop is the new VP of animation and games for Technicolor Digital Productions. In his new post, Winthrop will supervise over 500 animators working in TV, direct-to-DVD, games, theatrical films and other areas.

Former Cookie Jar VP of sales Alison Warner has been hired as the new VP of intellectual properties, sales, acquisitions and co-productions for Technicolor Digital. Based in London, whe will develop sales strategies for in-house animated properties and serve as a European liason.

Suji Thomas has also been named creative director at Technicolor India. He has over 15 years experience in the animation. Thomas previously held creative head positions at both DQ Entertainment and Millimages.

“We are very excited to welcome such remarkable talent to Technicolor,” said Tim Sarnoff, Technicolor’s president. “Robert, Alison and Siju … bring a very new and unique strength to our Digital Productions group.”
