As it gears up for an intensive 2003-2004 production slate, Sony Pictures Imageworks Inc. has hired Diane St. Clair and Jana Day as recruiting consultants. They will be instrumental in keeping the studio stocked with artists and technicians as it creates visual effects and CG animation for such films as The Matrix Reloaded, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Bad Boys II, The Polar Express, Haunted Mansion, Big Fish and The Amazing Spider-Man, in addition to upcoming projects from Sony Pictures Animation.
Formerly Head of Recruiting at Centropolis Effects, St. Clair was responsible for the active recruitment and sourcing of digital artists, animators, modelers, compositors, programmers and production staff for the past four years. Previously, St. Clair served as illustration editor at The Image Bank, where she handled global marketing of stock images. As the owner of artist representation company Right Brain Reps, she represented graphic artists to advertising agencies, magazines, newspaper and book publishers.
Day comes to Imageworks from Big Idea Prods., where she served as director of staffing. She also worked at DreamWorks SKG as head of recruitment for the animation studio and corporate, and at Warner Bros. as human resources manager for television and classic animation.
St. Clair and Day join recruiting consultant George Davis who specializes in identifying technical talent for software, systems, new media and IT for both Imageworks and Sony Pictures Digital.
With recent Academy Award nominations for its work on Spider-Man and The ChubbChubbs, Imageworks has completed its most successful year to date.
