The Simpsons creator Matt Groening received an extra sweet Valentine on Tuesday as his Hollywood Walk of Fame Star was revealed. Hordes of fans gathered to mark the occasion, which preempts the premiere of the acclaimed series’ 500th episode set to air on Fox this Sunday, February 19 at 8 p.m.

The 12-time Emmy winner was joined by costumed characters and Simpsons voice stars for the ceremony. If you weren’t in Los Angeles to celebrate, you can check out the event photos below.
