Kat Garcia has been promoted to director of international media at L.A.-based SSA Public Relations. According to company’s chairman and CEO Steve Syatt, Garcia will work with London-based managing director Karine Fouchet to oversee the shop’s global client base. She will also tackle market-related publicity strategies for clients attending trade shows such as NATPE, Toy Fair, MIP-TV, MIPCOM JR and Brand Licensing Show.

Garcia joined SSA two years ago as publicity coordinator. She holds a B.A. in economics/accounting from Claremont McKenna College. Breakthrough Entertainment, National Geographic Kids, Cookie Jar, 4Kids and Earthworks are among SSA’s animation-related clients.
