Hari Varma joins Toonz

Hari Varma, visual effects animation director for the hit Tamil feature film, Boys, has joined Toonz Animation India as director of computer graphics and visual effects. Boys won the Seagate Award for Excellence in Animation for Films. Varma was also visual effects animation supervisor for the award-winning Hindi feature Koi…Mil Gaya.

In the new role, Varma also heads the digital department of the 2D animation unit as Toonz prepares to make a major foray into the world of 3D animation and visual effects for the entertainment industry.

Varma has been involved with such international 3D animation productions as Disney Channel U.K.’s Spooky Sisters, Nickelodeon’s Nick Races and Mr. Moon and Swashbuckler’s from Skaramoosh in the U.K.
