Douglas Glen has resigned as chairman and CEO of Hong Kong-based Imagi International Holdings, whose animation projects include the upcoming CG feature film Astro Boy.
Board member William Courtauld will become acting CEO while the company begins to search for a replacement, according to Variety.
Glen oversaw production of Astro Boy, due out in October, and will continue with the company as a consultant for the next six months.
His departure will not affect the studio’s operations, according to the company. Production on Astro Boy was temporarily suspended earlier this year due to a short gap in financing for the project.
