Sandy Grushow is resigning as chairman of Fox Television Entertainment Group. According to the Dow Jones Business News, he will exercise a production option under his current contract, which runs out this summer, and launch a Twentieth Century Fox-based production company called Phase Two.
Grushow served as chairman of Fox Television Entertainment since November 1999, overseeing production on such series as the animated primetime hits The Simpsons and King of the Hill. Fox Television has said that his position will not be filled.
