Fox Animation Ups Cohen to Production VP

Fox Animation has promoted former director of development John Cohen to VP of production. Cohen, who has been with the company since 2000, will oversee existing projects and will even see some of his original ideas added to the development slate.

Currently on Cohen’s plate is Fox’s toon feature based on the beloved Dr. Seuss book, Horton Hears a Who. The project will be brought to the screen by Blue Sky, the 3D animation studio behind Ice Age and Robots. Cohen is also overseeing Fox’s CG/live-action Alvin and the Chipmunks movie and is developing a live-action flick based on MGA Ent.’s popular line of Bratz fashion dolls. Mike Young Prods. is animating the Bratz for an upcoming TV series and direct-to-video releases.
