DisneyToon Ups Snedeker, Ferguson

Feature animation powerhouse DisneyToon Studios has announced two key promotions, raising Brian Snedeker to senior VP of pre-production and Karen Ferguson to VP of 3D production.

Snedeker will report to studio president Sharon Morrill as he takes on management of pre-production and active participation during the production phase for all animated films in his new role. A former VP at Jim Henson Prods., Snedeker most recently filled the director of creative affairs position at DisneyToon.

Ferguson, having acted as the studio’s VP of digital production for the past five years, will now be responsible for all aspects of 3D feature film production. She will also report to Sharon Morrill, working alongside Snedeker.

A whopping nine out of the top-10 direct-to-DVD properties of all time have come from the bright minds at DisneyToon, and with promising titles like the Bambi and the Great Prince of the Forest, Little Mermaid 3, The Fox and the Hound 2 and the Aristocats 2 in the pipeline, the studio’s animated future looks bright.
