Michelle Pappalardo-Robinson has been appointed VP of production for DisneyToon Studios. In her new role, Robinson will oversee production for the animation studio’s home video premiere and theatrical properties. She reports directly to Lenora Hume, Sr. VP of worldwide production.
Robinson’s career spans both production and management, including work on episodic television, primetime specials, Disney Video Premieres and theatrical productions. She began her tenure at Walt Disney Television Animation more than 14 years ago as a production assistant on The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and now has completed her second full-length animated feature film as the producer of Piglet’s Big Movie. Her credits include work as production manager on Aladdin and the King of Thieves and as one of three producers on last year’s DisneyToon Studios theatrical release Return to Never Land.
Robinson’s television experience includes such shows as Darkwing Duck, Bonkers, Raw Toonage, Schnookums and Meat, Quack Pack and The Lion King’s Timon & Pumba. From 1995 to 2000, the California State University, Northridge Film School graduate served in management before leaving the post of director of production to take the producing helm of Piglet’s Big Movie.
