Andy Milkis has rejoined Splash as creative director/visual effects supervisor. His role in the company will be expanded so that he is intrinsically involved in guiding Splash’s future development.
Milkis spent two years at Splash before moving on to start his own company, TLI Design. Bolstered by a relationship with New York’s Creative Bubble, TLI’s project roster included work for GMC, Verizon, AT&T Wireless, Oil of Olay and Bugle Boy.
Despite the success of TLI, Milkis felt that in order to grow and an artist, he needed to be part of something bigger. Having returned to Splash, Milkis will once again be available for visual effects work as he supervises the company’s facility, which employs Discreet Flame and Inferno, Quantel Editbox, Avid DS, Discreet Combustion, After Effects, Maya and Lightwave 3D.
In his expanded role Milkis’ top priorities are building a team of diverse talent and creating a workflow that maximizes the company’s contribution to a project.
