Animal Logic Takes On Joy

Booming Aussie vfx and CG animation house Animal Logic has announced that Karin Joy has joined the company as head of film visual effects production. She will be responsible for overseeing the production of feature film f/x projects.

Joy started her career at Boss Film Studios as a coordinator on Species, Waterworld, Drop Zone, The Specialist and True Lies. Later she was named visual effects producer on Multiplicity and Air Force One. As head of bidding at Cinesite some of her credits included X-Men, Thirteen Days, Practical Magic and Armageddon. Joy also had stints as head of features at Station X; senior visual effects producer at Rezn8; as well as working as a producer on Angels in America at Complete Post. Her most recent work as a visual effects producer on the production side includes Charlotte’s Web and I, Robot.
