Accent Media Names New VP of VFX Sales

Andrea D’Amico has been appointed vp of visual effects sales for Ascent Media. In her new role, she will act as a liaison between Ascent Media Creative Services companies, including Encore and R!OT, which provide visual effects services for feature film and television. D’Amico will also continue to serve as exec. producer of visual effects with R!OT, Santa Monica.

D’Amico has held her current post with R!OT for two years and previously held the same position with Pacific Ocean Post, which merged with R!OT in 2000. She is currently overseeing visual effects work on several films including Angels in America for HBO Films, Biker Boyz for DreamWorks, Cradle 2 the Grave for Warner Bros. and Suspect Zero for Paramount Pictures. Past credits as a visual effects producer include Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, The Scorpion King, Independence Day and Titanic. At POP, she served as visual effects producer on What Dreams May Come, which won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
