To
showcase the diversity of independent cartoon filmmaking, Nicktoons,
Frederator Studios and Animation Magazine have joined
forces to create a one-of-a-kind competition called The Nicktoons
Film Festival. We’re looking for the best cartoons
on the planet – animated shorts that combine a unique look,
great character design and a funny plot. So, if you’ve
got a short that will make our judges laugh AND perk up their
design palette, it’s time to download your entry form and
send in your film. You might be taking the first step to a slot
in our compilation series that will broadcast on Nicktoons this
fall and taking home the Nicktoons Film Festival Grand Prize
of $10,000! |

Nicktoons?
But I have a PG-13 short …
That’s totally okay. With a growing
audience base (14 million expanding to more than 24 million
in the fall), Nicktoons is quickly becoming the new home for
animation. You can always watch your Nick favorites on Nicktoons,
but with the launch of the Nicktoons Film Festival series, you’ll
be able to enjoy animated filmmaking from the world over–and
from all sorts of creative mindsets. |

Is
this a Film Festival or a TV Series?
Both!
The Nicktoons Film Festival is definitely a juried film competition.
The best festival entries will be broadcast on Nicktoons as
part of a compilation series launching in October. The Grand
Prize winner will be selected from the best of the Fest to take
home the $10,000 prize. Members of the Grand Jury will be announced
here in the weeks to come. So keep checking back! |
