Warner Home Video Inc. (WHV) and technology-based educational products developer LeapFrog Ent. Inc. have entered into a multi-year domestic home video distribution agreement. WHV will exclusively distribute multiple children’s preschool learning home video titles produced by LeapFrog.
The first releases will be the animated offerings The LeapFrog Letter Factory and The LeapFrog Talking Words Factory, which will both be available Dec. 9. In addition, LeapFrog Ent. has several other preschool titles slated for release in 2004.
The LeapFrog Letter Factory follows popular LeapFrog characters Leap, Lily, Tad and Professor Quigley on their adventure to the Letter factory. Here they tour various rooms where each letter of the alphabet is learning to say its phonetic sound. Aimed at kids 2-5, the title features original songs designed to foster language development skills in an entertaining, interactive way.
Produced to complement The LeapFrog Letter Factory, The LeapFrog Talking Words Factory targets kids three and up, focusing on word construction and rhyming. In the video, Leap, Lily and Tad journey to the Talking Words Factory and interact with machines that make a group of letters into words. Both titles will retail for the suggested price of $14.98 DVD and $8.93 VHS.
