VIZ Media has entered a content development and merchandising partnership with award-winning animation studio Ghostbot Inc. (Star Wars Forces of Destiny, Whisker Haven Tales) for the character brand Chummy Chum Chums — one of the top digital sticker sets in social media messaging, with hundreds of millions of active fans worldwide.
The sweet little pet pals launched in September 2016 and have since been exchanged and posted billions of times to express a range of feelings amongst friends far and near. Chummy Chum Chums are now available on popular social platforms including Facebook and Instagram, as well as through iOS.

Under the arrangement, VIZ Media will work closely with Ghostbot to develop and expand the property across all categories of consumer merchandise as well as animated content and more. Chummy Chum Chums will be one of VIZ’s Licensing Expo 2018 spotlight properties in Las Vegas later this month (May 22-24, Booth #R202).
