TV-Loonland’s Owl Wise About Toy Deals
Kids in the U.K. will be able to get their hands on a new plush toy based on TV-Loonland’s pink animated character, The Owl. Toy outfit Vivid Imagination has signed a deal to produced a range of plush toys based on the hit CG-animated (52 x 1) series.
In addition, the series has been picked up by Mediaset in Italy and RTVE (broadcast) and Tribanda (home video) in Spain. The Owl is already available on Verizon mobile network in the United States and will be going live on U.K. operator ’3′ this month with all other leading UK networks to follow in July.
Created and directed by Alexander So, TV-Loonland’s accident-prone owl has now been sold in over 185 territories. The show has been performing especially well in the U.K. on BBC kids channel CBBC and in France where France 3 runs a special block called Chouette Toowam, where the pink bird introduces other shows.
