German broadcaster Super RTL has picked up the broadcast and licensing rights to the CG-animated series Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps from HIT Entertainment.

Super RTL will show the 80 x 13 min. series on the Toggolino preschool block starting in the spring.

The licensing agreement gives the broadcaster management of the rights for consumer products, home entertainment and publishing in Germany. The company also will support the launch of a toy line from Mattel, set for the fall-winter 2011.

“Autumn-winter 2011 will be a key, exciting time for Angelina as we see the Super RTL deals support Mattel’s much anticipated new consumer product launch,” says Jon Owen, senior VP HIT Brands – Global.
