Peanuts-inspired designs by leading names in the fashion industry are now being auctioned off on eBay. Fashion-forward cartoon fans can bid on a sexy Isaac Mizrahi dress featuring Charlie Brown’s signature zig-zag, a bright yellow feathered Woodstock cocktail dress by Project Runway’s Laura Bennett, a bedazzled Sally frock designed by Tony Award-winner Kristin Chenoweth and dozens of other unique pieces by logging onto www.ebay.com/snoopyinfashion. Proceeds will be donated to charity.
Other pre-eminent designers who contributed to the line incelude Betsey Johnson, Liz Claiborne, Pamella Roland, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, actress-comedienne Whoopi Goldberg and The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The designs were unveiled at ‘MetLife Snoopy in Fashion,’ the first-ever Peanuts runway show held Sept. 7 in New York’s Bryant Park during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
The MetLife Snoopy in Fashion ebay auction will continue throughout the month of October. Funds raised will benefit Dress for Success, a non-profit organization which promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and career development tools.
