DIC Ent., Bandai America Inc. and ADV Films are charting a celestial course for the 2004 U.S. retail launch of the hit anime property Knights of the Zodiac. Fans of the animated series can soon extend their enjoyment to a new array of toys, games, apparel, comics and more.
Knights of the Zodiac is a futuristic action-adventure show that pits the forces of good against evil as the Knights of Athena battle the Knights of Aries for control of the sacred Golden Armor of Sagittarius and the world. The series debuted earlier this year on Cartoon Network’s Saturday Night Action Block.
In January 2004, Master Toy Licensee Bandai will lead the Knights of the Zodiac merchandise roll-out, introducing a product line of action figures, role-playing toys and collectible card games.
Also in January, anime distributor ADV will begin releasing 13 volumes (40 episodes) of on DVD and VHS. The DVD packaging will include collectible trading-card inserts from Bandai.
VIZ Publications, a leading U.S. publisher of Japanese animation and comics, will also launch a series of graphic novels based on the property.
