Under a new licensing agreement, Briarpatch is developing a series of bookshelf, card and travel games based on the award-winning 3D series Jay the Jet Plane, co-produced by PorchLight Ent. and Modern Cartoons in association with Knightscove Ent. Already introduced at the Fall Mass Market Toy Expo, the new product line for kids 3-6 will hit retail shelves in early 2004.

Briarpatch, ranked third by the NPD Group for preschool games, has won 150 Best Toys awards, including the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award and the Parents’ Choice Gold Seal of Excellence. Among its other product lines are Disney’s Finding Nemo, Astro Boy, I Spy, and Harold and the Purple Crayon.

Created by Deborah and David Michel, Jay Jay the Jet Plane is broadcast daily on PBS and is also seen in more than 50 countries. There are currently more than 30 licensees in the U.S. alone for Jay Jay books, CD-ROMs, toys and other products.
