Palisades Toys Busts a Move On Comic-Con ’05

Maryland-based Palisades Toys has officially announced its 2005 San Diego Comic-Con International exclusives. They are–the Aqua Teen Hunger Force mini 4-pack (including the Quad Laser); the Alien Original Micro Bust; the Transformers: Megatron 6-inch statue; and the Super Grover action figure.

As an added bonus for Palisades collectors club members, the company has also announced that an allotment of the two PolyStone exclusives–the Alien Micro Bust and Megatron Statue (both of which are strictly limited to 500 pieces)–will be made available to members before Comic-Con, in a special two-day pre-sale event.

"We fully expect to sell out of these pieces," says Palisades president and CEO, Michael Horn, "So we wanted to make sure that collectors club members have (early) access to them."

An undisclosed allotment of the 500-piece production runs will be made available to members starting 12 p.m. EST on Tuesday, June 28th. They will remain available until the predetermined allotment is sold out, or until 12 p.m. EST on Thursday, June 30th.  Although purchasing the exclusives during this pre-sell period guarantees members will get the product, the company says merchandise will not ship until after the Comic-Con 2005, sometime during the week of July 18th.  A limit of two of each exclusive per club member will apply.  "We’ve taken great pains to ensure that our club members are taken care of, while still making sure that we have enough product available for Comic Con attendees," says Horn. The Megatron 6-inch statue will retail for $65, and the Alien MicroBust will retail for $50.
