Oooooo! Bacon Cheeseburger!

If anybody should be the poster boy for a burger loaded with bacon and two types of cheese, it should be Homer Simpson. The home of the Whopper has become the home of The Simpsons with a new promotional tie-in that includes a new sandwich made just for the bumbling, overweight patriarch of America’s favorite animated family. The Homer Simpson X-Treme Bacon & Cheese Whopper will be available for a limited time through Dec. 22.

Set to air Nov. 4-24, television advertising will feature custom animation by Film Roman Commercials of Homer Simpson winning the “Springfield Cook-off” with his favorite burger. Burger King plans to roll out more Simpsons related promotions in the weeks and months to come.
