Corus Ent.’s Nelvana has licensed its popular Beyblade property to Frito-Lay Int. for a multi-national promotion. Special items relating to the animated action series have already shown up in millions of potato and corn chip snack packs in Spain and Portugal.
Frito-Lay is supporting the Beyblade promotion with national TV, print and in-store advertising.
Based on a spinning top sport that took Japan by storm, Beyblade debuted on Cartoon Network U.K. in July this year and has become the channel’s highest rated program among kids 4-15. The property is licensed by d-rights.
