Mainframe in Pocket With Monster

June 11, 2003 by Ryan Ball divider image

At the Licensing 2003 Int’l Show in New York, Peak Ent. Holdings Inc. launched the North American phase of its Monster in My Pocket licensing franchise by selecting Mainframe Ent. Inc. to produce a television series based on the property.

The North American push follows the multi-million dollar rollout in the U.K., where activities will include broadcast of the Mainframe-produced Monster series on GMTV early next year with corresponding themed toys by Character Group.

The arrangement calls for Mainframe to produce 26 half-hours of computer animation programming based on the concept and handle the Canadian merchandising and TV distribution rights. As lead licensor, Peak Ent. will work with Joy Tashjian, Mainframe’s VP of global sales and marketing, to develop merchandise and distribution opportunities in the U.S. Peak retains all other merchandise and distribution rights worldwide. Pilot episodes of the series will be previewed at the MIPCOM show at Cannes in October.
