Looney Tunes Are a Shoe-in for Kids

February 4, 2003 by Ryan Ball divider image

Warner Bros. Consumer Products has granted a license to Brown Shoe Company, Inc., which will introduce four new footwear lines featuring popular Looney Tunes characters and DC Comics Super Heroes.

Scheduled for roll-out just in time for back-to-school, the character lines will include athletic and casual shoes, as well as boots and slippers bearing the images of Tweety, Taz, Superman and Supergirl.

Targeted to kids 3-7, the footwear lines will be available in children’s sizes 9-3. Sales will no doubt get a boost at year’s end with the release of the feature film Looney Tunes: Back in Action.
