JAKKS Pacific Inc. has signed a three-year Master Toy license with Nickelodeon for The Fairly OddParents. The company’s Flying Colors division will create a line of toys based on the property, currently the No. 2 show on all TV with kids 2-11.
Set to debut at the American International Toy Fair this month, the line will feature plush toys, dolls and accessories, figures and playsets, role playing games, handheld electronics and novelty toys. Under an earlier license agreement, JAKKS Pacific will also create a full line of activity toys and stationery products based on the show.
Created by Butch Hartman (Oh Yeah! Cartoons!), The Fairly OddParents follows the adventures of 10-year-old Timmy Turner, whose newly arrived fairy godparents wreak magical mayhem as they try to help him conquer typical kid obstacles by granting him wishes and fixing his problems through haphazard wizardry.
