Fox Kids Europe Inks Super Sonic Deal

Fox Kids Europe (FKE) has acquired master licensing and merchandising rights for TMS Ent.’s animated series, Sonic X, for Europe, the Middle East and Latin American, according to Daily Variety. FKE licensing arm JCP will manage the product lines, which will include apparel, stationery, toys and promotions.

FKE picked up rights to the 52×30 Sonic X series in August and JCP will handle home video rights to the action/comedy staring video game favorite Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic X debuted on FKE U.K. in April and has become the network’s highest rated show. Broadcasters in France and Denmark have since picked it up, and it will reach other territories in the next several months.
